1. Turning

Lathe processing is a part of mechanical processing. The turning tool is mainly used to turn the rotating workpiece. Lathes are mainly used for machining shafts, discs, sleeves and other rotating or non-rotating workpieces with rotating surfaces. It is the most widely used type of machine tool processing in machinery manufacturing and repair factories.

2. Milling

3. 3-Axis Machining

The 3-axis machine tool contains 3 linear axes, XYZ, and its structure is relatively simple. The knife rotation axis can rotate, but it only moves intermittently, and the direction of the cutting tool remains unchanged during the movement along the entire cutting path. 4. 5-Axis Machining

The 5-axis machining center has the characteristics of high efficiency and high precision, and complex machining can be completed in one clamping of the workpiece. It can be adapted to the processing of modern molds such as auto parts and aircraft structural parts. There is a big difference between a five-axis machining center and a five-sided machining center.

Many people don’t know this and mistake the pentahedral machining center as a five-axis machining center. The 5-axis machining center has 5 axes x, y, z, a, and c. The xyz and ac axes form a five-axis simultaneous processing. It is good at space surface processing, special-shaped processing, hollow processing, punching, oblique hole, bevel cutting, etc. The “pentahedral machining center” is similar to a three-axis machining center, except that it can do five faces at the same time, but it cannot do special-shaped machining, beveled holes, cut bevels, etc.

On the surface, a 5-axis machine tool has two more rotation axes than a three-axis machine tool. That is, in addition to the three linear axes of XYZ, a 5-axis machine tool also includes two of the AC rotation axes around the three linear axes of XYZ. In contrast, the 5-axis and 3-axis are mainly reflected in the processing capacity. A 5-axis machine tool can do the work of a three-axis machine tool, but a 3-axis machine cannot do a 5-axis job. Due to the existence of two rotating axes, the 5-axis machine tool has a stronger processing capability. In addition, the 5-axis improves the intermittentness of the 3-axis in rotation.
